The Aksarben Curling Board of Directors is sharing an important update about COVID guidelines for the 2021-2022 season.
At our August 11 board meeting, our Board of Directors voted to use the following guidelines:
- Masks will be required for all curlers until further notice given the current COVID conditions and members' responses to our 2021-2022 season survey.
- All five sheets will be utilized. Sheets 2 and 4 will start on the far end (west side).
- Two sweepers will be allowed.
- Coin flips for hammer will be allowed.
The Board of Directors will continue to monitor COVID conditions and guidance from health professionals throughout the fall, and update guidelines as appropriate. These guidelines are subject to change at the discretion of the Aksarben Curling Board of Directors.
We also want to remind our members that registration opens for Fall Leagues this Saturday, August 14 at noon. Leagues are first-come, first-serve. League placement is not guaranteed.
There are two ways to register for leagues:
- If you have not renewed your membership: Register for your fall leagues while renewing your membership.
- If you renewed your membership early (or if the previous link says you’re already a member): Register for leagues on our Event Registrations page.
We're offering the following leagues this fall:
September Sunday League - 4:30pm
4 weeks beginning September 5
Fall Sunday League - 2:15pm, 4:30pm, & 6:45pm
7 weeks beginning October 3
Fall Tuesday League - 8pm

Also—save the date for our 2021-Season Kick-off Member Event on Sunday, September 19 from 11:45am-2pm. This on-ice event offers free curling for current members. It's a great way to shake-off the off-season dust, play some casual ends, and get to know other Aksarben Members.
